"We very much enjoyed our time in Carbis Bay which has been imaginatively and thoughtfully restored and we appreciated its high quality furnishings. We were very impressed by its cleanliness and facilities, a wonderful base from which to explore the area and also it was great to relax in comfortable and luxurious surroundings. We made use of the local coastal train, which was good value. Something we discovered by chance was the firework display at Lands End. We thought the whole event was extremely well organised and, at £5 a car, provided excellent value for money. "

"We had a fabulous time here. Cleanliness excellent, place absolutely delightful for our family of 7 including a small boy aged 4 who could run around on the lawn and we actually put a small paddling pool up for him. Very private which we loved. The accommodation was the best 5 star we have stayed in - easy to keep on top of and as we all like to get together for an evening mean or barbecue at the end of the day, the kitchen was big enough for us all to sit down in and chat over a glass of wine. We know St Ives quite well. Godrevy Lighthouse is a super place for a clifftop walk. We love St Michael's Mount, Padstow - we could go on for ever. Places to eat out include Rhubarb for coffee/light snacks. On the front the Hub (go upstairs for the view) although it looks quite ordinary the chips/beefburgers/crab standwiches are first class. Carbis Bay Hotel is good for lunch and also serve the best cream teas we have ever had (with a bid of persuading at 10.30 am in the morning as well). The garden centre on the way to Hayle is also a good place for an occasional coffee.
