In the heart of Treknow, an ancient, detached cottage, renovated and enlarged. Considerable effort has been taken to keep the character of the cottage (low doorways) whilst adding modern comfort. Tiny, flower-filled garden at the front; good-sized, enclosed, lawned garden at the back.

Living room with slate floor, granite fireplace (woodburner), TV/DVD and exposed beams (5'9"); smart, but small, fitted kitchen (dishwasher, washing machine, microwave) from which 3 slate steps up to dining room with sofa, armchair and glazed doors to garden; also door to very small bunk bedroom. From the living room, stairs up to two more bedrooms – a double, and a twin – and a step up to smart bathroom (suite with separate shower). Good hotel restaurant, ⅓ mile. Suitable for maximum of 4 adults.

We arrived at the cottage, opened the door, and what a pleasant surprise greeted us, old word charm, modern equipment, cleanliness, in fact a home from home. I spent a lot of time in the garden watching the birds, just listening to the sheep, a wonderful place to unwind. To have Trebarwith Strand so close was a bonus, for all of us, especially my granddaughter and the dog, neither of whom stopped running all the time when on that very clean sandy beach - so both slept very well. We tried not to drive too far, as the holiday was for the little one, and as we only had one person driving it gave them a break, so we spent a lot of time close to Treknow, dining at Port William and the Strand cafe. Would we go again, you bet your life we would, and as soon as possible. So Thank You for having such a lively property on your books. - Carol Allan and Family
