Fethiye Is a typical Turkish market and harbour town, not yet lost to the western impact, where local daily life and businesses continue to work alongside the ever-increasing western influences. The coastal town boasts a modern marina, where local fishing boats and traditional ‘Gullet’ pleasure sailing ships ply their work along the busy promenade. The four-kilometer stretch of beach and pedestrianized promenade is ideal for spending the day soaking up the sun and is a central point for booking and embarking on guided tours, day trips, boat trips, car hire and safari jeeps. Small local supermarkets, bars, cafes and restaurants make up this popular area.
