General

One of the oldest – and quirkiest! - properties in Mousehole, this cottage is bursting with charm and character and benefits from a self contained net loft to the rear of the property which is ideal for grand parents who may require a little quiet time whilst on holiday! Dating back to the early 1800’s, the cottage is just 50 yards from the picturesque fishing harbour of this quaint little village which was once described by Dylan Thomas as the prettiest in England. Thomas spent much of his honeymoon in this quintessential Cornish community which has changed very little over the centuries. The cottage is really quite charming with low painted beams, stripped wooden floorboards and doors, an eclectic mix of modern and traditional furnishings together with an original open fire for those chilly autumnal nights when you need to get cosy!

The quirky little net loft is situated across an enclosed courtyard and is completely self contained with a double bedroom, small kitchenette and shower room. There is a small courtyard which is accessed via the rear of the property and shared with the adjoining cottage. The neighbouring property is used as a private second home however the owners rarely use the property and are very amenable and accommodating when guests are visiting. Mousehole is an enchanting and thriving little village that rarely disappoints the visitor as there is a plethora of galleries, craft shops, tea shops and restaurants hidden away in the maze of narrow little streets and donkey wide alleyways that are waiting to be discovered.
