In Ringmore, with long views to the sea, a stone cottage attached to its sister cottage in a very sunny courtyard which was once the farmyard to the main farmhouse. In front is a small, safely walled area with table/chairs and you are also welcome to use the owners’ very pretty garden across the courtyard.

Inside, neat and immaculate with beams and good use of Laura Ashley fabrics. Door to open-plan roomy fitted kitchen/dining area (dishwasher, washer-drier, microwave) and living room with TV/DVD and stairs (stairgate) up to two bedrooms – a double (long view to the sea), and a twin (limited clothes-hanging space), both with high beamed ceilings. Bathroom (suite plus bath-shower). A thoroughly well done and convenient property, a pleasant walk from beautiful coastline.

This cottage at Ringmore is fabulous. Not only is the property superbly equipped and extremely comfortable, the attention to detail at every level is flawless, right down to the welcome fruit bowl, homemade flapjack and chocolate buttons for the children. Brimming with useful information about the village and the local area, the wonderful hostess (lovely Mrs Capps) has even supplied an OS map of the area for keen walkers - very handy, thank you. Ringmore itself is gorgeous, a tiny village with a host of on the doorstep walks and its own private cove. Definitely worth a visit - but don't tell too many people! - C Plimmer
