About ¾ mile from the centre/waterfront of Salcombe, high on the cliffs above South Sands (cove beach), with spectacular views over the estuary to East Portlemouth, out to sea (dolphins sometimes), and along the coast to Gara Rock and Prawle Point, a beautifully positioned, south-facing, L-shaped, detached, split-level house (c1990), the last house at the end of a private lane, only woodland beyond. Lilleby is set in nearly 2 acres of landscaped garden (barbecue) with mature trees, gravel paths winding down through terraces to woodlands (pines and hardwood) and then a gate where you join a footpath down to South Sands.

The house is in the most excellent condition, everything high quality. The front door leads to a wide tiled hall with high vaulted ceiling and French windows to a large balcony with wonderful views. The elegant, 30', beautifully furnished drawing room decorated mainly in creams, yellows and blues, with hardwood floor and marble fireplace (‘coal effect’ Jetmaster gas fire), sumptuous curtains and light streaming in from all angles, also has door to balcony. Good-sized twin bedroom on this floor (front garden view). Next door, a lobby with loo (washbasin). On the other side of the hall is the dining room with table seating 12, which leads to the Amdega conservatory with its time-wasting views. We had a lovely time at this house. The house is very comfortable and hugely spacious and the views were a real pleasure. Being able to walk to both North and South Sands made it very relaxing.
