General

Sun, sea, barefoot and carefree genuinely sum up the atmosphere of this truly delightful and pretty little holiday home which is situated in the very heart of Sennen Cove. This beach cottage is a single storey wooden property that dates back to the Edwardian era (early 1900’s) when it was built by a pilchard fisherman who worked out of the Cove. Recently purchased by a local family, The cottage has been completely restored yet still retains just the perfect amount of weathered patina providing charming and comfortable accommodation.

Decorated in a fresh palette of white and blue and furnished with a quirky mix of antique and contemporary pieces, the feel of the property is very much an airy and light beach house rather than beach hut retaining much if its original character with stripped wooden floors and timber clad walls. Located just behind the lifeboat station with views over the crescent shaped harbour and Atlantic Ocean, this charming little “bolt hole” is an extremely versatile property adaptable to any season. Whether you are strolling the 30 yards barefoot down to the sandy beach during the summer or curled up on the sofa next to the wood burning stove amid a howling winter gale watching giant storm surf crash on Cowsloe Reef, the cottage will certainly not disappoint. However you will have to be quick as this secret will not be kept for long!
