The beach, just steps from the front door, is the western end of the golden three mile stretch of shingle that is Slapton Sands. Flanked on one side by the freshwater lake of Slapton Ley, a national nature reserve, this beautiful area is a haven for naturalists, bird watchers, walkers and beach lovers alike. Kayaks can be rented from the beach, as well as other water sports equipment. After an energetic day on the beach or walking the Coastal Path take your ease from the comfort of this family home on the terrace and watch the ships on the horizon, or enjoy a glass of wine in the evening sunshine on the raised decking, overlooking the Ley.

At the front of the cottage is a raised terrace area provided with picnic bench. To the rear is a courtyard enclosed by high double gates with parking for one car. Raised decking area provided with garden furniture and barbecue.
