And you are close to the lapping sea as the mile long Seaton Bay beach is on your doorstep, where you can swim, dive, snorkel or just paddle and catch crabs in the rock pools.

The quaint village of Beer, nothing to do with the liquid stuff though, has its own small bay enclosed by chalk cliffs and is just next door, with traditional stone houses and cottages built on many different levels of the slopes of the valley. Wander down and watch the catch coming in as the fisherman work off the beach, whose families have fished here for generations, their fishing boats are still launched from the beach on a daily basis.
