As well-to-do Victorians arrived in their droves to the seaside resort of Torquay in the South West, so began a tourism success story still continuing today. It marked the beginning of British seaside travel on a major scale and the influences are still there in this award winning resort, which the Victorians believed improved health and stimulated the senses.

They were not wrong - the holiday accommodation in this Victorian conversion apartment, sleeping up to four people has been renovated to the highest 21st century standards, but the beautiful surrounding beaches and landscapes remain the same. Water sport activities abound and the facilities have most certainly improved since the 19th century, but the sea air and outdoor life is still rewarding those who travel to these shores.
