Looe is a bustling picturesque town that straddles both sides of the River Looe’s banks.
Holiday cottages in Looe prove very popular in the summer months for families looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the larger seaside towns. East Looe includes the harbour and the main shopping centre. West Looe is quieter but also has shops, cafes and restaurants. The twin towns are joined by a Victorian seven arched bridge and there are two main beaches; Hannafore Beach and East Looe Beach. Hannafore Beach is best known for its fantastic rock pools and views across to Looe Island and as it is a south east facing, it offers a great suntrap for those escaping the crowds. The main East Looe Beach is a large sandy beach with rocks to one side and the Banjo Pier to the other.
